This message is from someone who wanted to say why they are pro-choice.

"I have always supported the right to abortion, and I still do.
When I was 16, I became pregnant after just a couple of encounters with a friend of mine. He was my first, and this was around 2009 when abortion was still a taboo topic and rarely discussed. At the time, I wasn’t even a legal adult.
I miscarried after a month, and it took me years to fully process that I had been pregnant.
Looking back, if abortion had been a viable option, I would have chosen it. There were several reasons for this—I was too young, financially and emotionally unprepared to care for a child, and my mother would have pressured me to keep it. Most importantly, I wasn’t ready for the lifelong commitment of parenthood.
Now, at 32, I feel ready to have children with my partner.
But I firmly believe that abortion must be legal and accessible to anyone 16 and older. No woman should feel ashamed for having sex or for choosing to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. If the relationship or circumstances aren’t right, she has every right to make that choice. Prioritize your mental health and don’t let closed-minded opinions dictate your future. It’s time to break the taboo!"
